Hi Bron, didn't realise you were into sourdough too - I've been experimenting lately, just as a change from cheesemaking (you can actually have too much cheese on hand, believe it or not - more of a problem than too much fibre or yarn).

Thanks, Jan! I still haven't finished the new shawl yet, but slowly making progress (in amongst other things!) I'm pleased to hear that you like the way I've written the Brangian pattern - I do try to be clear, and cater for all different types of knitting-thinkers!

I love Knitabulous's 50/50 - it has such a beautiful, lush feel to it. I'm using different 50/50 at the moment, though. It's a slightly lighter weight, around 700m per 100grams.

Yes, it's been cold up here, but mostly we have gorgeous sunny days so I don't mind crisp frosty mornings!

Bron, that new shawl looks very pretty. I'll be keeping an eye out for updates. I have made four Brangians, I like it very much and your pattern writing too. Am currently doing a Mystery Shawl pattern with reference to Lord of the Rings on Rav. However, while the pattern is released in achievable segments, I do prefer your writing and charts. Much clearer.

I have quite a bit of 50/50 left from Knitabulous so am looking forward to perhaps using that on your new on pattern. Almost cold enough down here yesterday t think I was up your way!

Laura, thank you also for your thoughts. I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier that they mattered to me, and still do. I'm sure your gift to your mother-in-law of the shawl was much appreciated - there's nothing quite like wrapping oneself in a handmade gift to feel surrounded by love.

I'm sorry to hear of your losses. Your knitting and quilting are beautiful and a fitting way for you to both grieve and remember.

I actually came over here to say I am almost finished my fourth Brangian shawl. It's what I turn to when I can't settle on another design. I know this one and it always turns out beautifully. So thank you for it. The design always gathers comments on its beauty.
