The only downside to working from home is that the work is always there, close by, and there’s no ‘after-hours’ or even weekends. But I declared yesterday a holiday from work, and spent most of teh day playing with fabric and working on my first quilt top. I had to redo the sashing, and piece the borders, and now it’s all finished:
Yes, it needs to be properly pressed, but otherwise it’s done. Today I bought some backing fabric, and tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday I’ll lay out the backing and wadding and aim to pin the quilt. Then there’ll be the quilting… which may take me a while!
